BACON, ROSALIND (ROZ)
March 7, 1954 – November 20, 2018
Roz was born in Moose Jaw, SK on March 7, 1954 and passed away peacefully in Regina on Tuesday, November 20th, 2018. She was predeceased by her parents, Ronald and Rose Farmer; and Father-in-law, Phil Bacon. Roz is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Greg; son, Tyler (Brittany) and their twin boys, Parker and Wyatt; Mother-in-law, Maxine Bacon; Sister-in-law, Val Bacon; Brothers-in-law, Dave(Sheri) and Brad (Jagjit); Nieces, Nephew and many cherished friends. Roz and Greg married on October 7th, 1973, and made the move to Regina in the spring of ‘74. They then began their business together – where Roz worked as Administrator – for Provincial Electric. They found their true home on the farm outside White City, in 1990, where Roz became a prominent dog breeder of Soft Coated Wheaton Terriers. She loved being a part of the dog show life. Roz loved animals, and being out on the farm with nature. She loved all sports, but her love was playing ladies fastball. The family would like to send a big Thank You to the Regina Palliative Care Community for their outpouring of support during these times. If you like, share a smile or a tear for Roz and please consider making a donation to the Regina Humane Society, in lieu of flowers. Regina Humane Society, Box 3143, Regina, SK S4P 3G7. A private family interment will be held at Sunset Cemetery in Moose Jaw. We welcome you to join us for a Sharing of Memories Gathering for all friends and family that will take place Saturday, December 8th, 2018 from 1-3pm in the Harvey Room at the Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. “Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy.”

Greg and family
I’ve got many fond memories of Roz growing up across the alley from me. She was a beautiful girl and even more beautiful lady.
My deepest condolences

She always talked about you and missed you and a lot of people. She was always a Moose Jaw girl except for Warriors. She would have wanted me to throw that in. LOL!
Our condolences to Greg and family. We were shocked and saddened by this news today. May your many memories keep you comforted during this time. Debbie and Cal Cowan
Thanks Guys! How are you doing? Have to get together for lunch or something.
So sorry to hear of Roz’s passing. We had many great times together on and off the ball field. She was a great pitcher and an awesome team mate. She is now at peace and in the arms of her mom and dad once again.
My deepest condolences to you and your family Greg. I grew up in the same neighbour hood as Roz and remember lots of sleep overs, trips to the DQ with her mom and dad and playing in the yard at St. Mary’s, just to name a few. My best memories are the ball games we played together. She was probably one of the best windmill pitchers in Moose Jaw and I was always thankful I didn’t have to hit her her pitches!! She was a warm, beautiful caring person and will be missed by many!!
Our thoughts and prayers our with you Greg and family at this difficult time Garth & Donna Fennuik
Thanks Guys. Have thought of you lots. Hope all is well.
Please accept our thoughts and condolences Greg and Tyler and family for Roz’s passing. The dog world lost a passionate advocate for the Soft-coated Wheaten breed. Roz was a true steward of the breed and those in the veterinary community respected her desire to improve the genetics of this terrier class. Thanks for those contributions Roz and may you Rest In Peace.
Greg our thoughts and prayers go out to you and Tyler. Roz will be missed by so many people that she has met over the
years. Please take care of yourself and if possible do try to make it down south, it would be great to see you.
With all our love .
The world lost a generous and kind soul much too early. The kindness and friendship she has shown my parents over the years meant so much. She was there with open arms to take in MacDuff in a difficult time as well. Our hearts go out to you at this time, Greg. Pamela & Anil
My thoughts and prayers go out to you Greg and Tyler and family.
I am so deeply sorry for your loss. RIP Roz.
While it has been many years since I worked with Roz at Halmac & Associates on Scarth Street in Regina, I remember with great fondness those days. The impressions that were left were good and long lasting ones, I remember Roz so clearly.
Greg, thinking of you and your family.
