Walter Ayerst
It is with sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Walter Ayerst. Walter passed away peacefully in his sleep the morning of Friday, August 5th, 2011. Walter was born January 13th, 1954 in Moose Jaw, SK. He worked at CPR in Moose Jaw for 35 years and, most recently, at Castle Building Centre. Walter’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with his 4 grandsons. He also enjoyed hunting, many quading adventures, watching football and the Moose Jaw Warriors. He was predeceased by his parents, Orv and Olly; brother, Mel; father and mother-in-law, Dwayne and Anne Sunde; sister-in-law, Linda Hanson; grandson, Jesse and sister-in-law, Vivian. Walter will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife of 35 years, Cheryl; his daughter, Lana (special friend Darcy) and grandsons Kaden, Lucas and Noah; his son, Jason (Theresa) and grandson Brody; brother, George (Donna Peters); sister-in-law, Laurel; brother-in-law, Ron (Ginger) Sunde and many other family members. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 11th, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Walter’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Sask., 279 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8.
