Barry James Andrews
It is with great sadness that the family of Barry James Andrews, aged 67 years of Chaplin, SK announce his sudden passing on Thursday, January 9th, 2020. Barry was born in Regina, SK on January 7th, 1953. He was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Hazel Andrews; mother and father-in-law, Hazel and Murrell Morrissey; sister-in-law, Sharron Anderson; brother-in-law, Larry Morrissey; uncle, Jack Andrews; and aunt and uncle, Betty and Chuck Peck. Barry is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Doreen Andrews (née: Morrissey); daughters, Angie (Jody) Gerbrandt and Nikki (William) Geiger; grandchildren: Jordyn, Kaden and Janessa Gerbrandt, Billie (Kaitlyn), Leayne (Kelvin), Ava and Madyson Geiger; twin sister, Bonny (Gary) Adrian; aunts, Carol Andrews and Evelyn Christsen; sisters-in-law, Lynda (Melvin) Hallborg and Marlene Morrissey; brothers-in-law, Wayne (Jenine) Morrissey and Art Anderson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Barry loved farming and raising cattle. He also enjoyed camping and spending the days out on the water on his boat. Smiley enjoyed playing fastball, hockey and curling, and in later years loved watching his daughters and grandchildren in their many activities. He was a very proud grandpa. Smiley enjoyed visiting with friends and family. He will be sadly missed by everyone. The Andrews family would like to thank the staff at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital for everything they did in caring for Barry. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 14th, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chaplin Community Complex, Chaplin, Saskatchewan. Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate and interment will take place in Chaplin Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Barry’s name may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, 150 Albert St, Regina, SK S5R 2N2.
