Robert Hervé Adam

Robert Hervé Adam, aged 90 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed into the presence of his Lord on Friday, April 15th, 2016.  Robert was a long-time faculty member at Briercrest College and Seminary until his retirement in 1989.  He was predeceased by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Janet in 2007; parents, Hervé and Elizabeth (Telford) Adam; and brothers: James (infant), Frank and David.  Robert is survived by his son, Allan Robert (Peggy) Adam of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Arlene Adam of Moose Jaw; sister-in-law, Barbara Hutton of Moose Jaw; grandchildren: Kevin Adam (Anna Henriksson), Jeremy Adam, Steven (Er-xin) Adam, Eric (Bree) Adam and Melissa Andrew; great-grandchildren: Molly and Linnea Adam, Cassidy Adam, Zoë, Chase, Rylee, Jovie and Hannah Adam, and Joey and Jonathon Andrew; as well as many nieces and nephews.  The family wishes to thank the staff of Extendicare Moose Jaw, along with Dr. Dautremont, for their excellent care of Robert during the past eighteen months.  A Celebration of Robert’s Life will be held on Wednesday, April 20th, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Dr. John Barkman will officiate and interment will take place prior to the service in Caronport Cemetery at 10:30 a.m.  A Time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 19th, 2016 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s name may be made to the Robert and Janet Adam Memorial Bursary at Briercrest College and Seminary. Robert and Janet Adam were among the earliest married students at Briercrest, coming from Ontario with their young son in 1950.  Later, as Director of Admissions, Robert held a deep love for student families.  He devoted himself to helping them settle into the Caronport community and succeed in their program of study.  He took special delight in seeing many of them move on into Christian ministry.  It was his desire to encourage and assist such families through the establishment of this bursary.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Gary McDowell, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
