Stuart Bangsund
Stuart suddenly passed away at the age of 58, to join his father Edmond, in a better place. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 31 years, Valerie; children Trevor (Jackie), Rhealene(Darwin) Backlun, Deryl (Kellie); six grandchildren Michelle, Myles, Ronald, Terry, Randi-Lee and Matthew. Also left to mourn are his mother E. Margarette; mother-in-law Mary Matwiy; brothers Archie (Marny) and Wesley (Rhonda); sister Heather (Bernie) Brigidear and numerous nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 10th, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Shepherd officiating. Stuart was born and raised on the farm near Maxim. He completed 2 years of electrical training before deciding to become a school teacher. He taught at numerous rural communities before coming to Regina. He retired from Balfour Collegiate in 2002. Stu was a hard worker that could be found building various things with his sons. He also enjoyed spending time in the kitchen with his girls. Stu shared his passion for education, hunting, wrestling and Judo with his grandchildren. Stuart will be remembered for his compassion and willingness to help family and friends in need. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made in Stu’s name to the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre at 2180 23rd Ave., Regina, Sask. S4S 0A5.
