He is predeceased by his parents John and Louisa Gunningham and brother Roy. He is lovingly remembered and will be sadly missed by his wife Madeleine; son Glen (Dorothy) and grandsons, John (Tina), Graham and Brent; sister Jean Hatton; sister in law, Edith Gunningham and nieces and nephews. Don was born on the original homestead in the Chamberlain District April 3rd, 1923. He attended Clarendon School and worked on the farm with his father. He married Madeleine Pederson in 1945,and together they farmed the land along with son Glen until they retired to Moose Jaw in 1998. While in the Chamberlain district he was active on many boards and was a great friend and neighbor to many. His greatest joy was his three grandsons, whose activities he always followed with great interest, and was proud of all their accomplishments. In July 2006 Don and Madeleine moved to the Mulberry Estates where they entered whole heartedly into activities as much as Don’s health would allow. We would like to thank the Doctors’ and staff on the Medical floor of the Union Hospital for their kind care. For those so wishing, memorial donations may be made in Donald’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Sask., 279 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, Sk.
