Archie Laurits Larsen of Tugaske, Sask., passed away on January 2nd, 2008 at the age of 82 years.  The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 8th, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in the Tugaske Community Hall with Rev. Rick McCorrister officiating.  Burial will follow at Tugaske Cemetery.  Archie was born in the Bridgeford, Saskatchewan district on February 14th, 1925.  He farmed the homestead farm near Bridgeford until retiring to Tugaske in 1990.  Through the years, Archie also tended bar at the Central Butte Hotel, in Eyebrow (until it burned down in 1969) and in Regina.  Archie is sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his partner Victoria McCreary; his son Curtis; step-daughter Colleen (Greg Gardner); grandson Riley Gardner; sisters Ellen Esmond, Josephine Larsen, Freda (Walter) Manz, Alice (Gordon) McGowan; brother Victor Larsen and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.  Archie was predeceased by his parents Laurits and Violet Larsen; sisters Rose Sjodin and Beatrice Mayer and brothers-in-law Art Esmond, Len Manz and Elmer Sjodin.  As an expression of sympathy, contributions to the Tugaske Cemetery Board or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
