Vern Patsack
Vern Patsack of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan passed away on Sunday, October 5th, 2008 at the age of 83 years. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 9th, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Pastor Allan Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. A Public Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 8th, 2008 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Vern was born on July 28th, 1925. He worked at Palm Dairies for 19 years and was a letter carrier for Canada Post for 23 years. Sports were always an important part of Vern’s life, always watching hockey, baseball and football. He coached Pony League and Little League; played hockey and baseball; enjoyed golf and bowling. He loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. His hobbies included reading, gardening and working in his yard. He was a member of Timothy Eaton Gardens and was an avid card player. On June 15th Vern and Gwen celebrated a wonderful milestone – their 51st Wedding Anniversary. Vern is predeceased by his mother and father, Emily and Bill; his sister Rene; and his niece Myrne. He is survived by his loving wife Gwen, son Wayne (Leslie), grandchildren Nikki and Tyler; son Greg (Tracy), grandchildren Courtney, Morgan and Bryson; brother Allan (Pearl); brother-in-law Stanley Siddeley of Victoria and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
