Hazel Rebecca Willard

Hazel Rebecca Willard of Moose Jaw , Saskatchewan , passed away in hospital on Sunday, July 20 th , 2008. The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 24 th , 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Minto United Church , 1036 7 th Ave. N.W. , Moose Jaw . Pastor Bill Thomson of Trinity United Church will officiate. Hazel was born in Moose Jaw on November 15 th , 1911, to Annie and Roy Turner. She moved to the Mawer district and returned to Moose Jaw to complete her High school and Normal school. She married Chester Willard and they farmed in the Mawer district until retiring to Moose Jaw in 1972. Hazel loved reading, travelling and playing cards. She was an inspiration to her family. Hazel valued education and everything she did, she did well. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Chester , her son Alan and her sister Ruth. Hazel is survived by her daughter Sharon (Wayne) Johnson; grandson Brad (Debbie) Willard; granddaughter Audra (Vincent) Biamonte; 5 great grandchildren, Paula, Joshua, Matthew, Ethan and Logan; one great great-grandson Avery; 2 half sisters and 2 half brothers; sister-in-law Iva Willard and many nieces and nephews. Hazel spent many happy years at Rosewood. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. Special thanks to those who assisted and helped her.
