Donna Acton

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, sister, grandmother and friend, Donna Acton on October 29th, 2011 at the age of 66.  She was predeceased by her mother Beatrice and father James Dunlop.  Left to mourn are her sister Deanna Miller (Jim) of Edlesiegh, Alberta; brother Robert Dunlop of Moose Jaw, SK; daughter Lisa Poissant (Dominic) and their children Benjamin, Kieran and Mia of Regina, SK; son Scott Acton of Moose Jaw and his children Aidon and Alex.  Born in 1945, Donna was raised in Moose Jaw, SK where she graduated from Central High School.  She married, raised her children and built her life in Moose Jaw.  She went on to become a Licensed Optician where she spent 30 plus years as a valuable and faithful employee and business owner.  Donna truly enjoyed visiting with her clients, co-workers and her many friends.  In recent years, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and working in her garden.  Her kind heart and giving nature will be greatly missed by many.  We would like to give a special thanks to the staff at the General Hospital ICU, Unit 3E and the many close friends who visited with her and sent their warm wishes.  A Funeral Service will be held on Friday November 4th, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate and interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
