Bill Anderson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bill Anderson on Sunday June 12th, 2011.  He celebrated his 92nd birthday on March 5th, 2011.  He was born and raised in McCord, SK.  He worked in various jobs before enlisting in the Army.  While stationed in Victoria, BC. he met the love of his life, Marie (deceased 2009).  After returning from overseas, they were married on February 14th, 1946 and resided in McCord, SK before moving to Moose Jaw.  Bill worked at 15 Wing until he retired after 25 years of service.  He is survived by three sons, Wayne (Dianne), Willie (Lynda, deceased 2005), and Rodney (Lynda); seven grandchildren, Todd (Renee), Chris (Maureen), Ryan, Breigh (Rob), Scott (Laurie), Michael (Heather), Kyle (Dani); and 11 great-grandchildren, Nathan, Cassandra, Natasha, Teagen, Trytin, Teale, Rhys, Ryleigh, Emyree, Jaxon and Kooper.  The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 16th, 2011 at 3:00 pm in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Pastor Bill Thomson will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery.  Legion Rites will be conducted by Chuck MacMillan of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #59.  Flowers are respectfully declined.  Memorial donations in Bill’s name may be made to the Healing Garden Project c/o Providence Place Foundation Inc., 100 – 2nd Ave. N.E., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 1B8.
