FRANCES ANNE ANDREWS (Shea)
April 17th, 1942 – August 5th, 2011
Fran succumbed to her illness Friday morning but fought courageously till the end. She will now join the angels and her children Sandra Anne and David Bradley who predeceased her as well as her father Leslie Andrews. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Andrews; her four sisters, Bernice (Rob) Robinson, Patsy (Ed) Liberet, Leslie (Al) Unrau and Dorothy (Rene) Croteau; and one brother, Bill (Carol) Andrews; her children, Nancy (Tom) Hadley, Teresa (Lee) Bellows and Brenda (Vic) Savoie; as well as ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many special nieces and nephews. Fran was known to most as one of the meat clerks who worked for Safeway and then later sold real-estate, which gave her the opportunity to meet many people over the years. She found a love for collecting dolls and learned the craft of making dolls. Her talent was great and she spent many hours crafting and teaching her skills to others. Some of her works will be cherished forever by those who are lucky enough to own them. Unfortunately, as Fran’s health failed, so did her ability to carry on with her passions. We would like to especially thank Dr. Brian Sanderson for the care and compassion he gave Fran over the years, as well as thank Doctors Majid, Luhning, Moustapha and Kakumanu for caring for Fran this past year. We would also like to thank all the staff at Capilano Court for their help and compassion. She will be forever missed by all her family and close friends. There will be a Celebration of Fran’s life on Wednesday, August 10th, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Coffee and tea will be served after the service. Pastor Doug Shepherd will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Fran’s name to the Allan Blair Cancer Center, 4101 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK S4T 1A5.
