DAY, EARLE H. “HAP”

It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Hap on December 18th, 2011 at the age of 88.  He was predeceased by his wife, June; parents, Charles and Alice; and sister, Thelma.  Hap is survived by his daughter, Shannon; son, Charles “Chuck” (Joy); brother, Allan; sisters: Bernice, Marjorie and Joyce; and by numerous nieces and nephews.  Hap was born in Saskatoon, SK.  He had an extensive career in the Canadian Armed Forces and enlightened the lives of everyone around him.  He had a dry sense of humor and loved nature, fishing, camping and animals.  He was a wonderful artist and enjoyed drawing nature and landscapes.  Hap was a very benevolent man and had a habit of picking up hitchhikers and helping anybody he could.  He will be remembered by all whose lives he touched.  In keeping with Hap’s wishes, there will be no Funeral Service and interment will take place at a later date.  Flowers are gratefully declined.  Friends so wishing may make donations in Hap’s name to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation – Home Care, 455 Fairford St. E., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 1H3 or to The Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 9Z9.
