Raymond Henrickson

Raymond Henrickson, aged 80 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away Saturday, July 30th, 2011.  A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 27th, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Padre Doug Shepherd will officiate and interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery.  Legion Rites will be conducted by Marty Martell of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #59.  He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Vi Henrickson; sisters, Anne, Clara and Shirley; and brothers, Robert, John and Harvey.  Ray is survived by his sister, Grace; brothers, Marvin and Fred; sister-in-law, Pat; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Ray was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces for 25 years, having served in the Korean War.  He was also stationed in Germany and numerous other bases in Canada.  After retiring from the Forces in 1978, Ray started employment with the Alberta Energy Company in Suffield until his retirement in 1991, upon which time he moved to Moose Jaw where he resided until his passing.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Ray’s name may be made to The Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 9Z9 or to The Canadian Diabetes Assoc., 917A Albert St., Regina, SK S4R 2P6.
