Robert Bernard Jelinski

Robert Bernard Jelinski of Moose Jaw and formerly of Briercrest, SK, passed away in Regina on Thursday, August 18th, 2011 at the age of 82 years.  Born in Claybank, SK, he farmed in the Claybank District and developed Bob’s Insurance business in Briercrest, retiring from both in 1996.  Robert moved to Moose Jaw in 1995 where he has resided ever since.  He was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Mary Jelinski; brothers, Joe Jr. and Louie; and sons, Gregory and Kevin.  Robert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bernice; son, Dan (Kim) and their sons Gregory and Josh of Saskatoon, SK; son, Ron (Beth) and their daughters Elyse and Amy of Moose Jaw, SK; son, Phil (Jackie) and their daughters Kennedy and Jenna of Briercrest, SK; daughter, Colleen (Dale) Anderson of Moose Jaw, SK; sisters, Clara (Walter) Wyman of Saskatoon, SK and Marlene (Andy) Halapatz of Regina, SK; brothers, Leo (Betty) of Avonlea, SK and Edward (Margaret) of Regina, SK; as well as by several nieces and nephews.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Church of Our Lady, 566 Vaughan St, Moose Jaw, SK.  Father Carlos Jimenez will be the presiding celebrant and interment will take place in Claybank Cemetery on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.  A Prayer Service will be held on Monday, August 22nd, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in Church of Our Lady.  Donations in Robert’s name may be made to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, 455 Fairford St.E., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 1H3.
