Jimmie Dale Miller
It is with heavy hearts that the family and friends of Jimmie Dale Miller announce his passing from his earthly life on February 25th, 2011. Jim was born to Betty and Harry Miller on November 12th, 1948 in Tisdale, SK. The family located to Moose Jaw and this is where Jim spent the majority of his life. He had several episodes of poor health in the past few years but Jim was never one to back away from adversity and he battled against immense odds to recover. He faced cancer with his usual courage and determination, always one to rise to the challenge when odds were against him. Jim crossed paths with many people in his lifetime and most will remember his quick wit and laugh, and then there will be those who will remember and cherish the friendship they shared with him, secure in the fact that “When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.” Although Jim did not have a great deal of formal education, he used his wits and life experiences to the fullest to start several businesses. He was predeceased by his parents, Betty and Harry Miller and his sister, Rachael. Jim will be sadly missed by his best friend and “Poopsie”, Sharon; brother, Frank and his daughter Tina and her children Tamara and Travis; brother, Danny; numerous nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Holly and her family; stepchildren, Connie, Kelly and Greg Hesjedal; eight dear grandchildren, Teanna, Tinisha, Destiny, Shawtawna, Tyrone, Cheyene, Cody and Dalton; goddaughter, Stacey and special niece, Allison. A private burial will be arranged at a later date.
And now the end is near And so I face the final curtain, My friends, I’ll say it clear, I’ll state my case of which I am certain. I’ve lived a life that’s full, I’ve travelled each and evr’y highway And more, much more than this, I did it my way.
