Veronica P. Schikowsky

Veronica P. Schikowsky aged 103 years of Avonlea, Saskatchewan passed away on Saturday, July 30th, 2011. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 5th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Claybank. Father John Price will be the presiding Celebrant. Veronica was the first born of 11 children to Markus & Emerantia Bornowsky at Claybank, Sk. She married Peter Schikowsky in 1927 and they had six children. Veronica was predeceased by her first husband Peter; her second husband Jake Jaschinsky; sons in law John Gabel and Lawrence Savorie; daughter in law Jeannette Schikowsky; five brothers and two sisters. Veronica is survived by her three sisters Bertha, Martha and Leona; two daughters Loretta and Jeanette; four sons Tony, Louis (Sheila), Bert (Debbie) and Bernard (Marlene); 23 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and other relatives. Veronica has touched the hearts of many people and will be fondly remembered. For those so wishing, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
