James Travis

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of a wonderful friend.  James was born February 10th, 1927 and passed away in the Moose Jaw Union Hospital on May 27th, 2011.  James was born north of Riverhurst on the family farm.  He lived there all his life.  James loved his garden and was always busy out in the country.  He married the love of his life, Lonna.  They shared a home in Portland, Oregon until Lonna’s passing.  His visits to the coffee shop in Riverhurst were always a highlight of his day.  James was predeceased by his parents, brother and sisters, and his best friend and soul mate Lonna.  Left to celebrate James’ life is his niece, many cousins and many friends.  There will be a Celebration of James and Lonna’s life later on this summer on the family farm.  To everyone who shared in James’ life “Thank you”.  Flowers are gratefully declined.  Donations may be made in James’ name to Central Butte Iver Main Place, Box 550, Central Butte, SK S0H 0T0 or to a charity of one’s choice.
