ARMALENE MARGERY WORK
(November 25th, 1932 – October 30th, 2011)
Armalene Margery Work passed away at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital with her family by her side, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Armalene was predeceased by her mother and father, Margaret and Alphonse Deyotte; sister, Anna (Gordon); brother-in-law, Les; grandson, Aaron Work; and husband, Ivan Work (November 2010). She is survived by her son, Daryn (Rhealene) and grandsons Robert and Austin; Rhealene’s children, Terry, Randi-Lee and Matthew; son, Curtis (Jodi) and grandchildren Jenna and Ryan; sisters, Esther, Dolores (Gord) and June (Barry); sisters-in-law, Enid (Phil), Elaine (Ken) and Ellen; several nieces and nephews. Armalene was born on the family farm near Marquis. She, along with her husband Ivan, loved spending Saturdays at Johnstone Auction Mart, having dinner at Smitty’s and visiting family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved flowers, crafting and the challenge of a good jigsaw puzzle. A Celebration of Armalene’s Life will be held on Saturday, November 5th, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Reverend Doug Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
