Bernard Jack Ackerman

Bernard Jack Ackerman, aged 94 years of Moose Jaw and formerly of Chamberlain, SK., passed away Sunday, February 12th, 2012. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 14th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church (1064 3rd Ave. N.W., Moose Jaw) with Father Rick Krofchek as Presiding Celebrant. Interment will take place at Chamberlain Cemetery. A Vigil Prayer Service will be held on Monday, February 13th, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home (268 Mulberry Lane). Bernard was predeceased by his wife Susan (Sue) (1994); son-in-law Albert Bitz (2011). He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters: Pearl Bitz and Dianne (Al) Strachan; sons: Calvin (Wendy), Bill (Sharon) and Clayton (Joan); grandchildren: Darrel (Chas) Bitz, Darrin Bitz, Dale (Maria) Bitz, Michael (Christie) Strachan, Melissa (Chris) Terrett, Marc Strachan, Shawn Ackerman, Chantal Ackerman, Brent (Katelyn) Ackerman, Michael (Tanya) Maksymic, Jolene and Jazmin Ackerman; 16 great-grandchildren.
