Paul Henry Altman
Paul Henry Altman of Moose Jaw and formerly of Mortlach, at 84 years of age, passed peacefully at home on March 19th, 2012, lovingly surrounded by his family. Paul grew up on a homestead south of Parkbeg. He spent his life farming in the Edgehill district. Paul had a great love for the land and took immense pride in his work. He enjoyed spending time with his many friends, both in Moose Jaw and in Arizona. Paul and Gail enjoyed hiking, shuffling, playing cards, dancing and “happy hours”. Paul was first and foremost a family man. He spent many enjoyable hours with his 15 grand-children and 11 great-grandchildren. Paul is survived by his wife Gail, of 21 years; his son, Loren (Wendy); daughters: Kristy (Don), Kathy (Gene), Holly(Pat); step-daughters, Sherri (Richard), Michele (Doug); step-sons Tom (Nancy), Robin (Sherry). He is also survived by three siblings: Tom (Gladys), Betty (Art), June (Don); as well as brother-in-law, Jim (Dorothy) and his numerous nieces and nephews. He will be lovingly missed. A Celebration of Paul’s Life will be held at Minto United Church, 1036 – 7th Avenue NW, on Friday, March 23rd, 2012 at 2:00 pm, with Reverend John Carley officiating. A Time of Fellowship will follow. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, contributions to the Lung Association of Saskatchewan, 1231 – 8th Street East, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan S7H 0S5 are appreciated by the family.
