Fred Cafferata

It is with loving sadness we announce the passing of Fred Cafferata on September 27th, 2012 at the age of 89 years. Fred was born May 2nd, 1923 in Stony Beach, Sask. Predeceased by his parents Humbert and Florence; brothers Bill, Albert; sisters Florence, Alma and Marjorie. Fred is survived and lovingly remembered by nephews: Brian, Barry, Shayne, Lincoln and George; nieces Janet, Susan, Carole, Judith and Janice and numerous grandnephews, grandnieces and cousins. Fred enjoyed a career at CFB Moose Jaw as a Stationary Engineer until his retirement. He loved planes with a passion for Military Aircraft. He was well known and well loved in the community, always willing to help others. He will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched. The Family wishes to extend sincere gratitude to the Extendicare staff for their tender loving care of Fred. A Celebration of Fred’s Life will be held at Moose Jaw Funeral Home on Wednesday October 3rd, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Brett Blair officiating. Interment will take place the Moose Jaw Old City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Fred’s name to a Charity of One’s Choice.
