With deep sadness we announce the passing of Maria DeGirolamo (Salerno) of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on Saturday, March 17th, 2012 at the age of 83 years, surrounded by her loving family.  Born December 12th, 1928 in Volturara, Irpina, she married Vittorio DeGirolamo on April 28th, 1956 and immigrated to Canada in 1958 with their daughter Mickelina.  She was predeceased by her parents, Adelina and Fredinando; brothers, Nicola, Augusto and Geraldo.  Maria is survived by her loving husband, Vittorio; children: Lina (Andy), Carmine (Colleen) and Nando (Anna); grandchildren: Jared, Jenna, Nicolas, Daniel, Julia, Cassandra and Alex; siblings: Beatice (Venezuela), Edmondo (New Jersey), Elena (Italy), Valentino (New Jersey) and Michele (New Jersey); and many nieces and nephews.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 23rd, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 1064 3rd Ave. N.W., Moose Jaw, SK.  Reverend Father Rick Krofchek will be the presiding celebrant and interment will take place in Rosedale Cemetery.  Prayer Services will be held on Thursday, March 22nd, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 – 3rd Ave. N.
