Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Limacher
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Limacher on Wednesday, January 4th, 2012 at the age of 77. Betty was born in Gravelbourg, SK on July 31st, 1934. She received her schooling there and later worked at the Toronto Dominion Bank until she married Bernard Limacher on April 23rd, 1962 where they lived on the family farm south of Mazenod. Betty was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 1995. She and Bernie settled into their new home in Moose Jaw in 2002, but in 2005 Betty had to be moved into Providence Place. Her health continued to decline from then on. Betty was predeceased by her parents, John and Barbara Scheirick; 2 sisters; 6 brothers and granddaughter, Jenna Padfield. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her husband of almost 50 years, Bernard; daughters: Annette Chabot (Daniel) and their children Nolan, Megan, Erin and Ellen, Melanie Padfield (Sheldon) and their children Kelly (daughter Madison), Brianna, Christina and Raylena, and Karen Schauenberg (Robert); sister, Mary Scheirick; brothers, John and Frank; and by extended family. Thank you to the wonderful staff and volunteers at Providence Place. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 10th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, 1064 3rd Ave. N.W., Moose Jaw, SK. Father Rick Krofchek will be the presiding celebrant and interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty’s name to the Providence Place Foundation Inc., 100 – 2nd Ave. N.E., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 1B8 or to a charity of one’s choice.
