Kenneth Medlock
March 17th, 1943 – December 31st, 2012
Kenneth Medlock, aged 69 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 31st, 2012. Ken was born in Moose Jaw on March 17th, 1943 on the farm at the Government Elevators (now Viterra) to Eva and Fred Medlock. He wrestled and weight-lifted at Pyles Gym for many years. Ken worked at several jobs, mostly as a taxi driver and for Hobo Express. He was a lover of football, wrestling and boxing, old western movies, old cars, Harley Bikes, loved music – especially Elvis’ music and was a Rider fan. He was predeceased by his mother, Eva; father, Fred; and several brothers and sisters. Ken is survived by the mother of his children, Eleanor; son, Dale (Michelle) of Moose Jaw; son, Grant of Saskatoon; daughter, Darla(Randy) of Moose Jaw; brother, Glen of Quesnel, BC; and many other relatives and friends, to many to mention. At Ken’s request, there will be no Funeral Service. A private interment will take place in Rosedale Cemetery, where he will join his mother. A Memorial Tea will be held on Tuesday, January 8th, 2013 from 1:00 p.m – 2:30 p.m. in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Ken’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.
