NORMAN PAPROSKI
October 26th, 1946 – January 13th, 2012
With sadness we say “til we meet again” to our husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend, Norm Paproski. Norm lost his dignified gallant battle after facing his adversities with strength and courage. He took life’s difficulties in stride, not showing his hurt or frustration. Norm was born in Humbolt, SK. He was raised on the family farm in Sinnett area. He attended University of Saskatchewan choosing Education as life’s profession. There he met and married the love of his life, Marlene. He influenced many children’s lives in the communities of Lake Lenore, Allen, Riverhurst and Central Butte where he taught and coached football, hockey and golf. Memories will be cherished by his wife, Marlene; son, Rob (wife Candace) and children Mikaya, Tylon, Kaila and Wrylee; son, Glen and children Haley, Jaedyn and Nevaeh; sisters: Doreen (Melvin) Jaeb, Leona Sather, Muriel (Wilfred) Loeffler and Brenda (Briane) Rowe; in-laws: Jack (Pat) Flach, Donna Flach and Ron (Deb) Flach; and many nieces and nephews. Norm will be welcomed into the next step of life’s journey by his parents, John and Margaret Paproski; brothers, Mervyn and Wilfred and infant sister; brother-in-law, Palmer Sather; and Norm’s guardian angels, Gerry and Kristen. Norm was a true gentleman whose optimism and patience were an inspiration to all those whose lives he touched. Norm’s happy place was the golf course where his patience and easy going demeanor were not always evident. Grandpa’s knee was always reserved for one or more grandchildren. The family wishes to express extreme gratitude to Norm’s organ donor, Dr. Fenton, Dr. Lien and Dr. Weinkauf and the lung transplant teams from Saskatoon and Edmonton. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 21st, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, 602 Boychuk Drive, Saskatoon, SK. A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, January 20th, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, Norm requested donations to be made to St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation – Lung Transplant, 1702 – 20th St West, Saskatoon, SK. S7M 0Z9. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. James Murdock and Jeff Ofstie, Funeral Directors. 693-4550
