Darrel Sjoberg

Darrel Sjoberg, aged 68 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on April 12th, 2012.  The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 18th, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Reverend Doug Shepherd will officiate and burial will take place at Sunset Cemetery.  Darrel was born in Moose Jaw and received his education at William Grayson and Peacock High School.  He graduated from SIAST in 1970 with an Industrial Production and Technologists Diploma.  He moved to Edmonton, where he worked until he moved back to Moose Jaw in 2002 and has resided here until his passing.  He enjoyed carpentry, reading Western Novels, listening to music and sports of all kinds.  His greatest joy was his daughter and grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Margaret; brothers, Wayne and Douglas; sister-in-law, Velma Sjoberg; and brothers-in-law, Keith Dickson and Art Vass.  Darrel will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Amber (Stanley) Grant and granddaughters, Caprice and Kia.  He will also be lovingly remembered by his brothers and sisters: Gloria Dickson, Dennis(Ellen) Sjoberg, Bev Vass, Clayton (Ann) Sjoberg, Darlene (David) Strain, Terry Sjoberg, JerrySjoberg and Wendy (Brad) Geiger; and numerous nieces and nephews.   Flowers are gratefully declined.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Darrel’s name may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, c/o Pasqua Hospital, 4101 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK S4T 7T1.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director. 693-4550.
