Selma Elsie Wirges

Selma Elsie Wirges (nee Lahrman) peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 16th, 2012 at the age of 95. Following a private family interment at Sunset Cemetery, family and friends are invited to a Memorial Tea on Saturday, April 28th, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Selma was born September 30th, 1916 on her Grandfather’s farm and was raised in the Edgehill district. She married Anthony (Tony) Wirges in October 1946. They farmed in the Courval district until their retirement, moving to Moose Jaw in 1979. Selma was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Selina Lahrman; her husband, Tony; son-in-law, Barry Hagen; and great-grandson, Joshua Hagen. She is survived by her three daughters: Dianne (Mark) Ferrara, Carol (Denis) Pepin and Donna Hagen; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Laura Wirges and Melinda Dobson; brother, Richard (Enice) Lahrman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
