Edna Bertha Benson

Edna Bertha Benson, aged 82 years of Belle Plaine and Chaplin, SK, passed away on Sunday, December 1st, 2013.  The Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 6th, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Pastor Marvin Seaborg officiating.  Edna was born in Regina and married Don Benson on February 15th, 1952.  They resided in Regina, later in Moose Jaw, and then Belle Plaine and Chaplin.  She was predeceased by her parents, John and Martha Lindenbach; son-in-law, Bill Geiger; brother, Eric Lindenbach; sister, Janet Johnson; brothers-in-law, Terry Hitchner and Lynn Herriot; and granddaughter, Bobbie-Jo Geiger.  Edna will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Don; children: Warren (Darlyn) Benson, Darrell (Cindy) Benson, Debbie Geiger and Doug (Adele) Benson; sisters, Doreen Herriot and Marilyn Hitchner; sister-in-law, Barbara Lindenbach; brothers-in-law, Ed Johnson and Gerald (Donna) Benson; 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Edna’s name may be made to The Canadian Diabetes Assoc., 917A Albert St., Regina, SK S4R 2P6 or the CNIB, 2550 Broad St., Regina, SK S4P 3Z4.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Calvin Gammel, Funeral Director 306-693-4550.
