Gloria Olga Katherine Filazek

Gloria Olga Katherine Filazek, aged 69 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Thursday, November 21st, 2013.  In keeping with Gloria’s wishes, a Private Family Service will be held at a later date.  Gloria was born in Moose Jaw and worked at Pioneer’s Lodge.  She was a dedicated caregiver to her mother following the passing of her father.  She was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and had a personal relationship with her Lord and Savior.  Gloria was active in the community with various organizations and was a supporter of the Moose Jaw Warriors.  She was predeceased by her parents, Rudolf and Annie Filazek and brother, Wilfred Filazek.  Gloria will be lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law, Betty Filazek; nephew, Darryl (Heather) Filazek; niece, Cherene (Bryan) Assman; great-nieces and nephews: Emily Filazek, Sabina Filazek, Declan Filazek, Cole Assman and Owen Assman; as well as numerous other relatives.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Gloria’s name may be made to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Box 1376, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 4R3 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Sask., 279 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550.
