Muriel Joyce Hilts

Muriel Joyce Hilts, aged 95 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Saturday, March 23rd, 2013.  A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, March 28th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Rosedale Cemetery with Pastor Adam Driscoll officiating.  Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Moose Jaw Funeral Home by 1:30 p.m.  A Time of Fellowship will follow at Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  She was born in Regina, where she received her education and held a special teachers permit.  Muriel married Howard in 1939.  She was a member of the Eastern Star Mizpah Chapter #1.  Muriel worked for a law firm and then taught commercial subjects at various schools in Moose Jaw.  She was predeceased by her parents and husband, Howard in 1993.  Muriel will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Edward (Peggy) and Brian (Sharon); grandchildren: Darren (Gail), Scott (Linda), Karen (David), Julie (Jeff), Patty (Alain), Arrissa and Chris (Julie); 14 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jean Beare; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Muriel’s name may be made to The Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 9Z9.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director. 693-4550.
