Joanne Olina Keeler (nee Nerland)

Joanne Olina Keeler (nee Nerland), aged 77 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2013 after a long illness, which she coped with diligently with the help of her physicians Dr. Brian Sanderson and Dr. Fauzi Ramadan.  She was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Melvin; her only child, Judy; the love of her life, her husband Bruce; brothers: Robert, Delmar and Morley; sisters, Gaylene and Beverly.  Joanne is survived by her only grandchild, Stephanie Jeanes-Issel and her step-children: Ann, Paul, Tom, Rita, Lorna, Ellen and Joan; her favorite, always by her side, brother Norman; brother, John; sisters, Delores and Betty; special friend and caregiver, Marj Anmundson, who was always there for any need she had.  Joanne loved her home, cooking and baking – especially for Bruce and the holidays, which the whole family gathered at Joanne’s for her festive meals.  She loved her career as owner/broker for Century 21 AAIM and enjoyed many prosperous years with clients and staff.  She later moved back to her old condo building, which she and Bruce shared.  Pastor John and Karen McCubbing where right across the hall and good friend Bea Nutzhorn was next door.  Joanne was always there with a helping hand and was very generous in all she shared.  She loved her bible and prayed diligently for the less fortunate.  She now has climbed the mountain to meet the Father and Son and her beloved family and friends.  She asks God’s blessing for the world and her life was filled with the love of many family and friends.  In keeping with Joanne’s wishes, no Funeral Service will be held.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Joanne’s name may be made to the Saskatchewan Lung Assoc., Box 58000, Saskatoon, SK S7K 7Y4.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Jeff Ofstie, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
