Aili (Violet) Loftus

Aili (Violet) Loftus, aged 84 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Saturday, June 1st, 2013.  She was born in Shaunavon, SK on November 18th, 1928 and was raised on the family farm.  Violet married Gerald Loftus in December 1951 and they were married for 50 years.  She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald on July 17th, 2002.  Violet is survived by her children: Jerry Loftus, Karen Mortenson, Ken Loftus, Kelly Loftus and Patrick Loftus; brother, Robert Heikkila of Shaunavon; grandchildren: Kurt and Nolan Mortenson, and Maxine Loftus; and great-grandson, Presley Mortenson.  The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 5th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Reverend Doug Shepherd will officiate and interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.  Memorial donations in Violet’s name may be made to The Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 9Z9.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Calvin Gammel, Funeral Director. 306-693-4550.
