Lee Nutzhorn (Hennenfent)
Lee Nutzhorn (Hennenfent) was born March 8th, 1927. She passed away at Providence Place on Saturday, July 20th, 2013. Lee is lovingly remembered by her husband of almost 63 years (August 1st), Jim; daughters, Debbie (Dale) Struksnes of Calgary, AB, Janet (Gord) Lucki of Moose Jaw, SK and Heather (Steve) Smith of Airdrie, AB; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson; brother, Bill (Nessie) Hennenfent of Vancouver, BC; sister-in-law, Shirley Thul of Moose Jaw, SK; as well as numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Mel (Betty) Hennenfent and brother-in-law, Gordon Thul. Lee loved cooking, baking and hosting family gatherings. She will be fondly remembered by all for her delicious cinnamon buns! For many years, Lee and Jim took in STI boarders. Lee was well known for her good cooking and TLC while these boys were away from home. Lee enjoyed playing bridge, bingo and going to the casino. She loved to knit and crochet. Her “green thumb” produced beautiful flowers and a wonderful vegetable garden. She was an avid Rider fan and never missed watching a game. A Time of Fellowship for Family and Friends will be held on Thursday, July 25th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. on the 2nd floor of the Bentley (425 4th Ave. N.W.). Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in Lee’s name may be made to the Providence Place Foundation Inc., 100 – 2nd Ave. N.E., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 1B8 or to a charity of one’s choice.
