Joyce Anna Elliot

Joyce Anna Elliott passed away peacefully at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital on Thursday, March 6th, 2014 at the age of 82 years.  Joyce was born on June 13th, 1931 to Claude (Bub) and Susie Scandrett in the Secretan, Saskatchewan area.  She lived in Calgary in early years, moving to Moose Jaw in 1979, retiring from Providence Hospital at age 65.  She was predeceased by her parents, Bub and Susie; brother, Earl; sister-in-law, Ida; nephew, Wally and niece, Susan.  Joyce will be dearly missed by sons, Blaine (Mary) and Barry; grandchildren: Jason, Cody and Megan (Cody); brother, Glen; nephew, Warren; niece Perri; and other extended family.  Mom loved the Saskatchewan Roughriders, never missing a game on TV.  She loved her tunes and to dance, her most favorite song being “I’ll Accept the Rose” by Rita McNeil.  Joyce loved life and enjoyed a good time and laughter with her family and friends.  Following Mom’s request, no Funeral Service will be held.  A family celebration will take place at a later date.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Calvin Gammel, Funeral Director 306-693-4550.
