ALICE EMMERSON
On Wednesday, June 25th, 2014, Alice passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side. Alice was born on May 2nd, 1934 to Jack and Ann Bilous of Moose Jaw and was the 3rd daughter of 4. She attended King Edward Elementary and Peacock “Tech” High School. Mom worked at various jobs and her most recent position was with Joyner’s Department Store, until her retirement and the store’s closure. Mom was a lifelong resident of Moose Jaw and never liked to stray too far from home. She was an avid reader and could often be found curled up with a good book. Unfortunately, her favorite authors could never write their latest novels quickly enough to satisfy her! She was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Ann; sisters, Olga and Josephine; as well as her husband, Harry Emmerson. Alice is survived by her sister, Stella Milligan of Moose Jaw; daughter, Susan (Rob) Kerr of Moose Jaw; grandchildren: Brandi, Jennie and Jared; daughter, Jill (Ben) Steinhauer of Moose Jaw; grandchildren, Ethan and Emily; niece and nephews and great-grandchildren. At Alice’s request, a Private Family Graveside Service will be celebrated. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Alice’s name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Sask., 279 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. James Murdock, Funeral Director 306-693-4550.
