Bud Froehlich

With heavy hearts the family of Bud Froehlich say farewell to their father and grandfather.  Bud passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 22nd, 2014 at the age of 89 years.  He was predeceased by his wife, Dora in 2008 and his sister, Kay in 1969.  Bud is lovingly remembered by his children: Lois (Perry) Punga, Glenda (Paul) Garrett and Al (Deneen) Froehlich.  He meant the world to his six special granddaughters and will be deeply missed by Ashley, Aimee, Shayla, Jocelyn, Amber and Cassidy.  Bud and Dora were married in 1954 and farmed together in the Marquis area for 52 years.  After Dora passed away Bud continued to live at his farm during the summers where he grew a small garden and enjoyed the outdoors.  Keeping in touch and visiting with family and friends was very important to him.  He will be greatly missed.  The Funeral Mass to celebrate Bud’s life will be celebrated on Friday, February 28th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in St. John’s Church, Marquis, SK.  Father Rick Krofchek will be the presiding celebrant.  A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, February 27th, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in St. John’s Church, Marquis, SK.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Bud’s memory can be made to St. John’s Church, Box 54, Marquis, SK SOH 2X0.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Gary McDowell, Funeral Director 306-693-4550.
