BENJAMIN HOLNESS
1925 – 2014

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Ben, beloved husband of Helen, his wife of 67 years, on Wednesday, April 30th, 2014.  He was predeceased by his son, Wayne (2012); son-in-law, Ralph (2008); brother, Sam; and sisters, Vi and May.  Ben will be remembered by his wife, Helen; daughters, Linda (Bill Seida) and Loraine Petroschuk; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Buster (Swan River, MB); and sister, Alice (Regina, SK).  Ben served with the Regina Rifles Regement in WW2.  He farmed at Big Woody, MB (near Swan River, MB) before moving to Moose Jaw to raise his family.  He worked for Moose Jaw Transit for 35 years.  He loved to fish, hunt and tinker with cars.  Ben is now in God’s hands where he will be reunited with those he lost.  We will miss you Dad.  In keeping with Ben’s wishes, no Funeral Service will be held.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Gary McDowell, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
