Kenneth Allen Huckabay
Kenneth Allen Huckabay, aged 83 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed on to his reward surrounded by his family on Monday, July 28th, 2014. Born in Eston, SK to Malvin D. Huckabay and Thelma (Sklapsky) Huckabay, he lived most of his life in the Eston, Saskatoon and Moose Jaw areas. Ken was a passionate man who enjoyed family, friends and his faith in Jesus Christ. He worked for many years at Valley View Center, where he retired in 1986. In his spare time Ken enjoyed teaching Sunday School, driving bus for Sunday School, Christian Service Brigade, serving on the church board, helping his children do house renovations, hunting, fishing, coffee with good friends and of course his time with his loving wife. Ken was extremely loving and proud of his wife of 60 years, Grace; children: Arlene (Doug) Richmond of Stony Beach, Leslie (Randy) Wengel of Winnipeg and Allen (Judy) Huckabay of North Battleford. He is also survived by his sisters, Sharon Bell of Airdrie, and Dianne (George) Andres of Saskatoon; and 8 loving grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and one on the way. A Celebration of Ken’s Life will take place on Saturday, August 2nd, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Hillcrest Apostolic Church in Moose Jaw. Reverend Steve Atkins will officiate and interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Joe’s Place Youth Centre Renovation Fund, 402 Main St N, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 3K2. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.
