Rodney Gustav Jahnke

Rodney Gustav Jahnke went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, February 19th, 2014 at Providence Place in Moose Jaw, at the age of 61 years, after a 6 year battle with MSA.  Rod is survived by his loving family: wife of 41 years, Lorna (Unger) Jahnke; 4 children: Aaron (Jolene) Jahnke, Lisa (Marty) Deemter, Michael (Jennifer) Jahnke and Ryan Jahnke; 5 granddaughters: Megan, Jasmine, Amber, Mandy and Becky; and 1 grandson, Felix.  He is also survived by his father, Harvey; 3 brothers: Ted, Allan, David and their families; and 2 sisters: Norlaine, Deborah and their families.  He was predeceased by his mother, Ruth and sister in law, Valerie.  While we’re sad for our loss, we’re glad that Rod is finally healed.  We say goodbye taking comfort in knowing that we will see him again.

A special thank you to all friends who came to visit regularly and share this journey with Rod.  Also a special thanks to the doctors, Home Care and Providence Place nurses and long term care aides who lovingly cared for him every day.  May God bless each and every one of you.  The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 24th, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Alliance Church, 14 Neslia Place, Moose Jaw, SK.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Rod’s name may be made to The Gideons International in Canada, P.O.
