Robert Edward Keir
Robert Edward Keir, aged 80 years of Moose Jaw, Sask., passed away on Tuesday, August 26th, 2014. A Time of Fellowship for family and friends will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Robert was predeceased his parents Finlay and Annie Keir; sister Edith Olenick; brothers: Jim, Walt, Doug and Frank. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Grace; sons: Terrance and Darrell (Bonnie) and granddaughter Kassie; brother Harold (Alice); sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Robert worked at the CPR as a carman for 37 years. He was a strong union man and was shop steward for many years. Robert was an avid bird hunter and hockey player. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #7 Moose Jaw, serving as Exalted Ruler and Sgt. at Arms for the Elks Patrol Team. Robert was also a past member of the Kinsmen Club and K 40. Flowers are gratefully declined. As an expression of sympathy, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.
