Charles (Chuck/Chick) Reader

Charles (Chuck/Chick) Reader passed away on Wednesday, January 1st, 2014 surrounded by the love of his family.  Chick was predeceased by his wife of 31 years, Verna.  Chick and Verna raised their family in Moose Jaw.  Chick will be lovingly remembered by his sons: Doug, Tom and Jim (Eunice); grandchildren: Matthew, Melissa (Ben), Joey (Chantel) and Alicia; great-grandchildren, Sebastian and Cruz.  Chick was also predeceased by his companion of 23 years, Anne Kellough.  Chick is survived by Anne’s sons, Wayne (Roberta) Straub and Gary (Lorrie) Straub; grandchildren: Jordan Kluthe (Nicole), Cory Kluthe (Shannon Pryor), Jackie Straub and Kristy Straub (Greg Thul); great-grandchildren: Molly, Hannah, Destanee, Hailee, Adam, Stella, Smith, Madison, Saige, Scout and Noah; special long-time friends, Ken and Gaye Bookout, their children Allison and Godchild Stacey (Ryan) Smith and their children Isabella, Elizabeth, Alexander and Gabrielle.  He also leaves to mourn many sisters and a brother; numerous nieces and nephews, and many golfing and hockey buddies.  In keeping with Chick’s wishes, a Private Family Interment will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
