Edith Edna Spicer
Edith Edna Spicer, aged 93 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Sunday, September 21st, 2014 at Pioneers Lodge. Edith was born in the Cardross area on February 2nd, 1921. She married George Spicer on March 4th, 1941 and farmed in the Crane Valley area all of their lives before retiring to Moose Jaw in 1989. She was predeceased by her husband, George (2002); son, Gordon (1942); daughters, Robina (1943) and Patricia (1965); and 6 brothers and sisters. Edith is survived by her daughter, Rita Springer of Calgary, AB; sons, Wayne (Eva) of Regina, SK and Floyd of Crane Valley, SK; close friend, Phyllis Heath of Moose Jaw, SK; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 29th, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Bill Luther will officiate and interment will take place at Crane Valley Cemetery at a later date. A Time of Visitation for Family and Friends will be held on Sunday, September 28th, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edith’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre St, Regina, SK S4P 2R3.
