FRANCES “MARION” SWEETING
Marion Sweeting, aged 97 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Saturday, August 16th, 2014. She was born on December 5th, 1916 to Frank and Ellen Walker on a farm near Elkhorn, MB and was the eldest of 9 children. Marion married her first husband, James Lund on October 23rd, 1935 and her second husband, Andrew Sweeting on November 6th, 1971. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Jim in 1966; son, Glen Lund in 1996; husband, Andrew in 1997; sister, Gladys; and brothers, Gordon and Jim. Marion is survived by her daughter, Lillian (Ralph) Wadham and family; son, Garth (Elaine) Lund and family; sisters: Cass Kirby of Deloraine, MB, Elsie Robertson of Langley, BC, Alice Roeder of Seattle, WA, and Betty MacGillivray of Burnaby, BC; brother, Russ Walker of Burnaby, BC; as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all of the staff at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital, Pioneer Lodge and Extendicare. In keeping with Marion’s wishes, no Funeral Service will be held. Flowers are gratefully declined. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Marion’s name may be made to The Canadian National Institute for the Blind, 2550 Broad St., Regina, SK S4P 3Z4.
