Audrey Nimmo Tysdal (Boan)
Audrey Nimmo Tysdal (Boan), daughter of David (Dave) and Agnes (Aggie) Boan went home to heaven Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Providence Place in Moose Jaw at the age of 92. Audrey was born in Rouleau on October 14, 1922 and is predeceased by her parents, brothers Gerald and George, sisters Eileen Skelton and Barbara Vogelgesang, brothers-in-law Gordon Skelton, Peter Sawchuk, Edwin Vogelgesang, and sister-in-law Doreen Boan. She leaves to mourn her husband Martin, daughter Sandra (David) Warnock of Moose Jaw, son David (Margaret Anne) of Sherwood Park, Alberta, son Murray (Peggie) of Briercrest, and daughter Kathryn (Bob) Longman of Blind Bay, BC, grandchildren Sarah, Jonathan, Becky, Kim, Jason, Brent, Jeff, Mark, Matthew and Kerri and their families, which includes fifteen great-grandchildren, sisters Doris Sawchuk and Bonnie Ingeberg and brother Larry (Carol) Boan, sister-in-law Adina Boan, brother-in-law Daryl (Sue) Tysdal and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Audrey came to Briercrest in 1941 to work at the telephone office for her uncle and aunt, Alex and Dorothy Boan. She married Martin in 1942 and enjoyed their life on the farm and in the community of Briercrest for 69 years. Audrey loved to keep her home and bake, and many people were the recipients of her pies, cookies, Russian taffy and angel food cakes. She also loved to have people in for meals, coffee, and playing games. Audrey, Mom, Grandma and Great-grandma was fun to be with and had a hug and kiss for everyone. Martin and Audrey moved to Mulberry Estates, Moose Jaw, in 2010. For the last few years Mom was in nursing homes, the last being Providence Place which provided a caring atmosphere and help for her last days. She was, with Dad, a member of Knox Presbyterian Church in Briercrest and faithful in attendance and service. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 6th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Barry Holtslander officiating. A private family interment will be held at Sunset Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
