Don Knowles

Don Knowles of Moose Jaw, SK passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec 16th, 2015.  Don was born to parents Lloyd and Laura (McLure) Knowles of Lanark, ON on September 24th, 1935.  He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Art.  Don is survived by Correnne, his wife of 61 years; daughter, Ann (Neil) Alexander of Avonlea, SK; son, Terry (Arlene) Knowles of Truax, SK; grandson, Josh (Dochelle) Knowles of Caronport, SK; and grandson, Mathieu (Carla) Knowles of Truax, SK.  Don was employed as an automotive instructor at the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology (SIAST) Palliser Campus from 1961 until 1987 and following his retirement from teaching, he authored numerous automotive textbooks.  The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 19th, 2015 at 1:30 pm in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Josh Knowles will officiate and a private family interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery.  A Time of Visitation for Family and Friends will take place on Friday, December 18th, 2015 from 7:00-8:00 pm in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Don’s name may be made to Briercrest College and Seminary, 510 College Dr, Caronport, SK S0H 0S0.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Gary McDowell, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
