John Joseph Nestman

John Joseph Nestman, aged 89 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 15th, 2015.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 23rd, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Church of Our Lady, 566 Vaughan St, Moose Jaw, SK.  Father Jake Ibay will be the presiding celebrant and interment will take place at Claybank Cemetery.  A Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in Church of Our Lady.  He was predeceased by his daughter, Maria and granddaughter, Kirsten.  John will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Hilda; children: Edith (Brent) Burke, Linda (Ron Highfield), Brian (Cindy), Donna (Kevin) Stewart, Gary, Darlene and Pat (Jackie); 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other relatives.  John was born on July 20th, 1925 at Claybank, SK.  He married Hilda Schuett on October 18th, 1950 and they were married for 64 years.  They had eight children, with their daughter Maria passing away at the age of 1 ½ years.  They lived on a farm outside of Claybank for approximately nine years.  They moved to Moose Jaw in 1959 where he sold cars for most of his working life.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in John’s name may be made to the St. Joseph’s Cemetery Fund, General Delivery, Claybank, SK S0H 0W0.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Gary McDowell, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
