Jake Penner

Jake Penner, aged 73 years of the Glen Kerr district, SK, passed away on Thursday, September 10th, 2015.  He was born on the family farm in the Glen Kerr district, and lived and farmed there until his passing.  He married Daphne on August 10th, 1968 and together they raised two children.  He was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Nettie; sisters and brothers; and father-in-law, Eugene Lumley.  Jake will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Daphne; daughter, Marilyn (Mike); son, Mike (Shauna); 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Irene Lumley; 5 sisters and 1 brother; as well as numerous other relatives.  A Celebration of Jake’s Life will be held on Wednesday, September 16th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Riverhurst Community Hall.  Kelly Glover and Cody Penner will be the emcees.  Flowers are gratefully declined.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Jake’s name may be made to The Canadian Diabetes Association, 917A Albert St, Regina, SK S4R 2P6.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
