FORREST ROBERT SCHULTZ (BOB)
March 1st, 1928 – July 14th, 2015

Forrest Robert “Bob” Schultz, aged 87 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away Tuesday, July 14th, 2015 with his loving family by his side.  Bob was born in Moose Jaw, SK and spent all of his life here.  He grew up in Moose Jaw and worked at Johnstone Dairies.  Following that, he was employed by the C.P.R. as a fireman and engineer. He went to work at Moose Jaw Hardware and then Ashdowns.  Bob later went into partnership with Ray Ghiglione and Reg Parker to buy Ashdowns and worked there until his retirement in 1996.  He was predeceased by his father, Fred and mother, Daisey; as well as by 11 brothers and sisters.  Bob leaves to mourn: his wife, Laura; children: Bob (Rhonda) Schultz, Tim (Gail) Schultz, Lorrie (Gary) Straub, Patricia Paul (Greg Paul – deceased) and Kathy (Robert) Thorneycroft; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; sister, Francis and Ron McCarthy; brother, Ralph and Pat Schultz; sister, Darlene Vestre; sister-in-law, Dorothy Staseson; as well as many special nieces and nephews.  Bob was an active member in his church at Emmanuel Lutheran.  He enjoyed singing in the Gospel Choir.  He enjoyed fishing with his son-in-law Gary and morning coffee breaks with Ray Ghiglione and Lawrence Temple. Bob volunteered for many years at Providence Place and was noted for his talent for pouring a good drink.  Bob and Laura spent winter holidays in Palm Springs, visited Germany, Australia, South America and Hawaii, and travelled with good friends to the Maritimes.  He formed great friendships.  Bob was a great husband and father, and was loved deeply by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with whom he had many pleasant memories.  A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 23rd, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 15 Paul Drive, Moose Jaw, SK with Reverend John Kreutzwieser officiating.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Bob’s name may be made to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church Organ Fund, Box 1376, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 4R3 or the Saskatchewan Lung Association, Box 58000, Saskatoon, SK S7K 7Y4.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  James Murdock, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
