MARGARET LILLIAN ELLIS (née Blackwell)

Margaret Ellis, aged 100 years of Dinsmore, SK, passed away on Sunday, April 29th, 2018 at the Dinsmore Health Centre.  Margaret was born on June 5th, 1917 at the farm of her parents, Henry and Lillian Blackwell, a sister for Eddie and Clarence.  Margaret married William (Bill) Ellis.  They lived on the Blackwell farm until 1982 when they built a house in Dinsmore, where she resided until her move to the Dinsmore Health Centre.  She was predeceased by her husband, Bill; father, Henry; mother, Lillian; brothers, Eddie and Clarence, and son-in-law, Bob.  Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Gail; sons, Keith and Barry (Judy); 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren; as well as Orvall Durell, a long-time friend and caregiver.  The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 4th, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in Dinsmore United Church, Dinsmore, SK.  Dianne Schmidt will officiate and interment will take place at Dinsmore Cemetery.  A Time of Visitation for Family and Friends will be held prior to the service at 11:00 a.m.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Margaret’s name may be made to the Dinsmore Gaiety Group, c/o Box 221, Dinsmore, SK S0L 0T0 or to a charity of one’s choice.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Michelle Surtees Funeral Director 306-693-4550
